We have hosted the application sony acpid in order to run this application in our online workstations with Wine or directly.

Quick description about sony acpid:

This Linux daemon interacts with sony-laptop to provide additional features for Sony VAIO laptops. At the moment it supports automatic dimming of the display backlight and turning on/off keyboard backlight using the built-in ambient light sensor.
