project bwt

We have hosted the application project bwt in order to run this application in our online workstations with Wine or directly.

Quick description about project bwt:

This is a research project to possible improve compression using LZ77, LZSS or bwt, bwt is used on the bzip2 compression library, the v28 from 04/dec/2022 is the first version to almost beat lzma, indeed it is a tweak of lzma, the decoder for v28 will follow in a few days

Important: in 13/August/2026 was added the C file lz77_enhanced.c in the section Files, it have an enhanced lz77 implementation, it is better than standard lz77, it compress better, take a look .
