We have hosted the application openskipper in order to run this application in our online workstations with Wine or directly.

Quick description about openskipper:

Open Source C# code for interpreting & displaying NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 and AIS data from nautical instruments, GPS units and internet data sources. Provides a multi function display (MFD) showing electronic instruments displaying speed, heading, etc

Features:

• Support for NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 (N2k) and AIS
• Editors for defining (and viewing) NMEA and AIS message definitions
• Support for Actisense NGT-1 USB (N2k to USB adapter)
• Send and receive data from boat instruments and over the internet
• Real time display of wind speed, heading, and all other boat data
• Built in web server to provide live data via browsers
• Only open source software to process NMEA 2000 messages
