Celeste is a tiny and simple Cellular Automata simulator written in Java. It is a command line application that writes an image of each simulation step. Celeste was designed to run Conway's Game of Life but other rulesets can be implemented as well. It is released under the extremely permissive WTFPL.Features:
- Runs the famous Game of Life invented by John Horton Conway
- Reads .cell format files from the Life Lexikon collection by Stephen A. Silver/Edwin Martin at http: //www.bitstorm.org/gameoflife/lexicon/
- Free open source software released under the extremely permissive WTFPL
- Command line interface, writes PNG format images at every iteration
